Again, thank you guys for being nice and giving me info. I know my name has all sorts of evil attached to it and I apologize for that. And I also apologize for asking really stupid questions. I'm looking forward to fixing my life and making real chiptunes for once.

Would using the rom on my wii to get used to controls be a stupid idea?

I think one of the most useful pieces of info. I found so far is nullsleep's diagram of the menu system. Man that guy is a fucking god.

the manual has the same diagram! It is really well written, i suggest you take a look.

The wii version is pretty good, not sure how moving your saves around though.

This site, in my opinion, is the best place to but carts.

Just snagged an old skool grey boy for $14.62 on ebay. Gonna get one of those flash carts and save up for a pro mod gameboy.

Also have you considered using LGPT for the PSP or GP2X? I love that program. It's a sample based/synthesis tracker. It's got the same layout as LSDJ, but it has 8 channels and many more options for sound manipulation as well as a broader range of sound possibilities. Both are great options but since I've heard some of your past music I think you might love LGPT for what it can do. Either way, I'm looking forward to hearing more music from you.

Yes I have but I figured this would be a cheaper way to start. Plus I've always wanted to use gameboy anyways. I'm sure I'll move to that next. I already have a cpu with IT and adlib but I think to start out with lsdj would be better for me since I already know some stuff about how it works.

I need to start simple. I don't know shit. No need to start with more advanced stuff.

I think LGPT would be great for the 4x4 stuff I like to make but I'd like to do more actual song writing with vocals.

If you know where I could find a cheap psp, maybe I might pick it up.

Check out this track LGPT

I could forsee you doing some really cool things with psp, but you're right about LSDJ being easier to start out with in my opinion. Will you still be using FL studio as well?

If I don't get that one, is there a specific model I should be looking for?
