You're right: it is! Although seeing as how we had over 140 submissions to sort through last year (Volume 2), it's become quite necessary at this point!

There is a contradiction in your rules. You can't put an exclusivity clause and let the participants choose for a CC license.
CC licenses are non-exclusive and what you are asking is basically to exclusively benefit from the tracks copyright.

I find those exclusivity clauses excessive, and that's coming from a consumer rather than a contributor. One year is incredibly long. It feels to me you're treating "the cohesiveness of the project" as more important than the actual musicians, which makes me a little reluctant to support it, to be honest!
