I recently bought 2 backlights , and I got them installed just fine, but when I turn on the Game Boy I cannot see any text, It just looks like this: 
Is this because of a missing polarizing film?
I have tried messing with the contrast dial.
Any input would be much appreciated!

if there is not polarization film in the install at all, then yes this could be the cause of there not being an image

Ohhhh Ok thanks! I was wondering if that was the problem, it says they are supposed to come with the backlights, but they must have forgotten to include them.....
