The Nanoloop USB MIDI adaptor is out of stock, so I was wondering, can you just splice a DMG link cable to a USB cable? If so, what are the wires to match up on each? If not, what options do I have otherwise?

SPI (the protocol used by the DMG) and USB are completely different, you need a controller to convert signals.
