As a self-proclaimed Brasilian, I must point out that that's a dreadful cover (and not bossa nova).

Here's the original:

"Mais Que Nada" by Jorge Ben
Samba Esquema Novo [1963]

I watched the video now, I laughed so hard. I don't even believe her voice is like that.

And I second, Jorge ben is GOOD. And minusbaby is more brasilian than me. Listen to what he says about brasilian music.

Thanks for linking that- what I like in the cover is that they're not from Brazil either, perhaps I got to Brazil by flying through Shibuya for no reason.

Chunter, tht's exactly why you think about Bossa Nova. You're not brazilian.

Perhaps that's why my mother didn't play cuatro or my brother doesn't like rice; the whole "it's not as interesting when you see it every day" thing.

That's more of a question of values and old music from your country, breaking the status quo, ya know?

Yeah! This song stands out a mile from the most dubstep, Akira Kiteshi is one of the most creative (and listenable, hehe) dubstep artists around.

Woo! Love some italo.

I listened to nothing but Italo for about four years straight. I am even starting an Italo project on the side - here is one of my songs:

Living After Death (cover song - supposed to sound like it was recorded on some shitty equipment in Italy 25 years ago)-
