Hey there, I'm looking to do an audio project and I want to incorporate retro/8-bit sounding speech synthesis. What kinds of options do I have out there to make some speech?
LSDJ
Pocket operator 35 - Speech (could be fun)
SAM - https://discordier.github.io/sam/
Speak and spell (or some recreation or samples...)

Plogue's chipspeech is going to give you the most flexibility if you're using it with a DAW. They also have a free singing synth as well here
