I like Gimp - and a few iOS apps are decent.

My favorite is the Grix but i like Sprite Something, Dot Touch, Dots, C64paint - be aware there are some really bad pixel art programs in the app store that wind up aliasing the shit out of everything once its exported.
Left to right: cat, the charleston, voguing, tutting and... reeling it in?
I only came on this website to listen to the music but holy molly!

This has been getting a lot of buzz lately, and for good reason. He should have these printed large scale and hung up in a modern art museum, for real.

Last year or the year before I made this for a "do something creative with the logo" contest to win 2 free skateboard decks from dunkees.com. I ended up winning with a different entry, though. All I had at the time was an old windows 98 with a busted video adapter so I had very limited colors and screen size.
This is the alternate text version, the one that I submitted had the "Dunkees" name spelled out on the bigger side of the flying saucer but I can't find it at the moment.
Oh, also: Done in MSPaint.
