Building on Last year's gr8 Bits show, mrghosty has teamed up with the WAG for Nuit Blanche 2011 to present : ArtCadia.
Artcadia will bring together works by artists, hackers, musicians and game developers from Winnipeg and across Canada. Play indie games by some of Canada's critically acclaimed and up and coming indie developers, dance to 8bit and chiptune music by chip music collective Team 20XX, and experience all manner of interactive art based on the culture and technology of video games.
ArtCadia highlights the intersections between gamer culture, hacker culture and art; harkening back to the arcades of yesterday, yet with a contemporary twist. We're inviting visitors to dance, socialize, learn about current trends in game culture art, and most of all: play.

The event runs from 10pm to 5am as part of the WAG's Nuit Blanche celebrations and will be housed in the main foyer of the WAG; Eckhardt Hall.
