the second one was definitely better, mainly due to the lack of vocals.
imo if you're gonna do this sort of music then you should use more authentic sounds or just drop the chip music aspect altogether, the toad vst has some decent stuff in it but spamming mario sfx makes your track sound incredibly amateur
On the first track, stay away from the sound effect samples. They come off as a cheap gimmick. I'm not a fan of autotune on vocals like that, but for what it is, it's not bad.
On the 2nd one, why is there a picture of a gameboy if you didn't use a gameboy? You've got a pretty good ear, keep making music for a while and you'll develop for sure.
Thanks guys I don't claim to be a pro or anything.
I'm just looking for some guidance!!
I'm new to this scene but I feel like I have something to offer,
so If anyone could help me I would appreciate it.

br1ght pr1mate, you are fast becoming my favourite novelty account. upvote.
basically what the other guys said, videogamey samples make it sound dumb, i'm all for pop vocals though, not really my thing, but not many people do it.

re=related for some other poppy chip stuff, though of course they have that silly video gamey intro, but it's not really a part of the song :\

thanks guys, I'll be here all night!
every night...
always.
it's sad really
kind of reminds me of my brothers old project "Zantos!"
you need to bring the kick up in tha mix for both trax (maybe even use a different one). i think you should keep at it and eventually your production skills will pick up. definitely keep trying new things also.

other than that this thread is f gay
the next one will be more melodic and progressive.

hrrrmmmm.... wait a sec... that first song... I think I have the VSTi you used floating around somewhere... (does sound just a tad gimmicky...) I really suggest going in a totally different direction.... I feel like you could be really good at acid jazzzzzzzzzz, but just to be safe, you should also add in some scat vocals to accompany that jazzzzzzzzzz....
seriously... the acid jazz suggestion is a good idea man. im not even joking, acid jazz is bad ass.
The first one reminds me/sounds like Math The Band, if you've ever heard of them.
The second one is much better in my opinion. And i agree about the Acid Jazz. Keep it up though man.

I tried to do a better job at mixing,
It may sound equally has terrible.
and chill out I plan on investing in some equipment shortly.
This is just sorta practice.
