PM me if you would be interested in playing, details will be figured out later but I was thinking either July/Augustish or October. Anti-Oktoberfest is in September and I wouldn't want schedules to conflict with anyone playing there
Edit: sorry, posted this in the wrong place (not confirmed), if an admin could remove this and could anyone tell me where to move this to that would be appreciated

(you'd get a much better turnout and response from locals doing this in Asheville, and the Orange Peel would more-than-likely be up for hosting it).

regardless, a NC festival sounds fun.  i'd be up for coming.  (in Hickory)

if you do this in charlotte, i'd avoid the end of August, and totally avoid the first bit of September.  DNC ya know, and shits going to get crazy...  not to mention hotels being completely full...

I was thinking of doing Charlotte because that is closer to the middle of NC and is easier to reach, plus Charlotte actually has a good underground following of nerdcore/8-bit. I agree with what you said about August/September, I figure July or the beginning of August would be best

k.

well, regardless of where, i'd love to set up a booth if you'd like.  or just come and have fun wink

also, there are a lot of people in the surrounding states to contact.  there is a fest getting put together nearby right now around the same time too, although i haven't seen public info so maybe its premature to spill the beans on it.  just to mention its in the SE area and is in July...

wait.  no, the event has a website, found it (still barebones, but whatever).  http://www.brkfest.org/details.html  <- thats the other one in the area, around the same time...  so, it must be public knowledge with the website getting active posts.  all i know is i'm going tongue

I'm in Alabama.  It's like a 7-8 hour drive for me, but I might be interested!

I don't think it has been "officially announced, but yeah, BRKfest is being planned in Lexington.  I'll be there.

I am glad we are getting a lot of interest, whenever we confirm a venue and date I will look at bands, there should be a lot of openings so definitely bring on the applications! From all applicants I will need to know set length, if you will be able to sell tickets, and will need a link to some music
