That's what he asked for. Perhaps he is going to re-master the releases for the final print and wants high quality files? Not sure the reason.

Just thought the whole thing is a bit odd from his side since the plan is that its gonna be released on CD (44.1Khz) and he asks for 48Khz which is standard for video production. So in the end he will have to downsample to 44.1Khz anyway.
