Cyclist is a simple no-bullshit Windows program that browses a directory of short samples (only .wav is supported for now) and plays them. It has a loop function to play single-cycle waveforms too. Instead of hearing a short click you get the full waveform.
This should be good for people prepping samps for LSDJ, Piggy, Milkytracker, etc etc, and want to quickly browse their library of short samples quickly and with no bullshit.
I made it for that purpose, but mainly for my own uses. After trying to prep some samples for Piggy, I thought this would be easy and a good way to exercise my programming skills for class next week. Productivity.
Download (v1.2.1) can be found at http://chainsaw.musho.org/software/cyclist/
I'll add mp3 (and perhaps ogg) support in a while once I get the time, and maybe even a little waveform view on the side. But for now, take it or leave it.
It was written and tested on Windows 8 (Consumer Preview), and I'm almost 100% sure it'll work on anything newer than XP. It uses nothing fancy or non-standard, and definitely nothing Win8-specific.
Not working on Wine, although I'll try finding a workaround if enough people wanna use it.
Thoughts?
