Hello,

I recently started my journey in to the wonderful world of chiptuning but I've run across a problem that I'm sure screams novice. The problem is that I purchased a EMS 64m Cart for the GB but it is not being recognized by GB_USB.exe. I followed the instructions provided on the packaging and when I open GB_USB.exe and plug in my cart the program does not recognize it. Maybe I am just failing majorly but I do not know what to do. Some quick googling showed me the problem may be that I am using Windows 7 64bit though I'm more inclined to think that it is my own failure. Any help in clearing the matter would be greater appreciated, for kitsch-bent has refused to answer my emails after my purchase was delivered.

P.S. I'd be willing to reward the person who successful helps me fix this problem, if that's any incentive.

your gonna have to install the program with the 64 bit instructions from the website. it can be a pain sometimes but thats definitely gonna be why its not working.

edit: heres the guide
http://www.hkems.com/files/EMSlink/64bi … _Guide.pdf

links to the prgrams needed are the ems cart page at kitschs website

just be aware that this can get very frustrating sometimes. hopefully it works out for you.

Kitsch never "refuses" to answer emails, he simply has a long list of emails he still needs to reply to.

Hold F8 to boot, choose "disable driver signature enforcement" or whatever it is, and you are golden to boot the exe and run the software, Ponyboy.

Also - modified drivers are somewhere out there, but I don't use them, and cannot speak for their useability.

Bitman, claim your reward.

Nu-uh, this isn't exactly an end-all answer to everyone's problem! It didn't work with one or two of my computers, but worked on another.

Some work, some don't. Shit happens.

Sorry dude, but Kitsch has replied to my emails within a few days.
Good luck though.
