Yeah.. sorry about that. Made this as a joke about that Top 40 club post..

Funny enough, topic is (kinda) remotely serious though.

Jack (EC) is a TA at a local highschool and was hired to DJ the winter dance.. he then asked me if I wanted to do it with him (Jack please give me some of the money) and I thought it was too funny to pass up.

I do actually intend on dropping one chip song (even if it's for 45 seconds) just to see how the kids react to it.

Any suggestions for that one song?? wink

slam dunk would be weird as far as mixing goes.. its "dubstep" but it's at 120 bpm, not to mention it would be fantastically different compared to the "Somebody I Used to Know"-esque tracks that we'll have to play.

Ideally I'd want something 127-130 bpm that's well mastered.. if it has a sexy bitch singing in at least part of it, that's a major plus

One time at a school dance, the DJ the school hired backed out at the last minute, so we got a rad electro artist, but everyone hated him because he didn't play pop music. I thought he was cool as shit.

ha ha omg, yes. yes I do

I actually read the OP title as "DJing a high school dance with electric children" as in, the high school is full of electric children, and the OP is DJing there. A guy can dream, right?

Nah, I'm not dissing anyone. It's a "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" reference parsed from interpreting the thread's title literally like Decktonic mentioned up there. <):')

I guess the title "Blade Runner" was better for ticket sales.

Since we've moved into a Philip K. Dick interlude, I'm going to suggest you play at least one tune featuring a Roland VP-330 because what's good enough for Vangelis is good enough for us (unless one can't grow a beard in which case shaving is a good idea).
