On Thin Air is a 4-track EP that engages the senses with lush tones and dense harmonies. These tracks happened only because Vince Kaichan was stupid enough to crack his Gameboy screen, rendering him sans-DMG for four weeks.

Jakim – Tracked Drugs
Jakims newest album is called Tracked Drugs and it certainly keeps what it promises: giving the listener a mix of sometimes trippy, sometimes glitchy, sometimes melodical but always INTENSE collection of songs. Moving basslines, atmospherical pads and sounds, the occasional arps and chipsounds, crazy breakdowns and drumloops create that typical Jakim funk. Some of the songs have a nostalgic ’old tracker songs’ feel, and remind me of ModPlug tracker music, or JazzJack Rabbit tunes. However, forget all the cheap quality instruments that are synonymous with old tracker music, this album has a thick and fresh sound, and never becomes boring or repetitive.
Oh! And we must not forget to give Jakim credit for implementing Lady Gaga vocals.
