Falling Without Landing

Decided to upload this, since it's been a while. It's a piece about sadness and melancholia. I'm not really happy with it, but I wanted to get this out of my head and into people's ears, so here it is. This was going to be for little-scale's Sega Master System competition, but it wasn't finished in time. It was designed, minus the effects, to emulate a Sega Megadrive/Genesis. Used 1x 8bitMagicalplugin for 3x squarewave channels and 1x 8bitMagicalplugin for noise channel (closed hihat). The rest is 6 channels all from TFM Maker. I had issues with the accuracy of TFM's tempo and so the last part is actually faster than it's supposed to be.

really nice!

Agree with what others said about the chord progression, neat!

Really, REALLY cool. I can usually predict chords in songs, but... just... wow. That was great, and it's very soothing to listen to.

Hey, thanks Norock! big_smile I really appreciate it. By the way, it isn't supposed to sound like a Sega Master System, but rather a Megadrive/Genesis.

Thanks too, fluidvolt and Unicorn Dream Attack for your positive comments. smile

Very nice and relaxing.

Dig the production quality. This sounds pretty great! I don't know that it reminds me of the sound of the Master System exactly, but who cares. This is today's 8-Bit Daily! 8bitdaily.com

This piece has an interesting chord progression, and I especially enjoyed when the repetition is broken about 2/3rd's of the way; It was pretty striking.
