Usually I don't happy

By rumpelfilter on Jun 7, 2010 6:15 pm

I got nanoloop for the iphone some time ago. Its a nice little tracker, perfect to play around with it on the train. So far I only managed to get one track done, this one, and it's not even a complete one, since I plan on adding more to it sometime. But on the other hand, i always end up doing happy stuff with nanoloop, and I usually don't do happy.

thanks for the comment! Listening to it a bit I agree that it lacks that one thing, a lead melody... I think I'll be working on it a bit more as soon as I'm done with the huge mass of stuff I've got to do now...

I like this track, it switches up just enough times to stay interesting without being all over the place. It sounds like a good train ride soundtrack.

However, I kept wanting a more powerful lead instrument to drop about 1/4 to 1/3 of the way in and really give the piece some push. Try a new lead channel with longer note lengths, maybe portamento, to contrast with all the fun staccato stuff going on in the background. I think it would sound really nice and round the track out. If you decide to make some changes let me know what you come up with!
