Meeting of the Spirits (Famitracker w/Acoustic Guitar)

Mahavishnu Orchestra song I played at a show a few weeks ago. An attempt at recapturing a live show so very minimal overdubbing.
ALSO and way more important -- it has been SO hard trying to record acoustic guitar and have it mix well with chip stuff. Any effects I apply to either the guitar or famitracker tracks just sound cheesy. Any suggestions? Master reverb and overdrive are my best and cheapest answers so far.
