p.s. i am far from sXe.  wearing an "I LOVE BEER AND SEX" shirt to my first show.

sXe weekend is supposed to be a joke.  people are sXe for "life"  me and a friend were talking about how funny it was when people get sXe tattoos when they are young then you see them at the bars once they turn 21, thus sXe weekend was born.

straight edge weekend?

First: What you really need to work on the most is the drums. Especially that lone noise snare, but also the kick drum. You need to make the drums work better with the melody. Or skip the kick drum entirely and use that channel for another melody part. The noise channel is also much more useful for drums when modulating the shape with a table.

Second: The melody is jazzy, and I dig it, but I'd like to hear more evolution and change over time. Apply the clone command liberally. Another thing you can try is to start out with a simple bassline that follows a certain progression, like a chain with transposed phrases, and then try to make as many different melody chains as you can that go well together with that bassline. Thes use those as building blocks. 00/03/05/07 is a classic progression that will probably serve you well for practice.

Third: You could work a bit on the volume envelopes. Cut off notes with K or make instruments with attack fade out after a while with E. Example an instrument with envelope 1C. On a suitable line line below the note, place E83. If you put it in the right place and use the right volume in the E command, it will sound pretty seamless.
