James Kay is Electrify Me! A chiptune artist who creates music with Gameboys, LSDJ and a mixer. Yorkshire based, from the quiet town of Kirkby near York at just 18 years old he has spent the past two years mixing electro beats and the last 12 months working on chiptune. Now he’s bringing this surreal catchy style to the York music scene, which up to now has been exclusively dominated my metal and indie rock bands. Playing gigs around the area to promote the release of his EP, Electrify Me! has made quite a reputation for himself an individual artist. His music has also appeared on the online label Digitalforce Records, which has made his music available to download over the internet. The likes of Newcastle, York and Sheffield have all seen live sets from him. Safe to say Electrify Me! is full of surprises and it is safer to never underestimate this guy with a gift.
