Declaration of Principles - From House on a Planet - Vocals

So.. this is the opening song from my 2nd rock opera, House on a Planet (where a bunch of other songs i've posted come from).
This song is the first song of act 1, its sung between the main character, the Scientist fellow, and his main foil, the president. The scientist is watching on tv a 20 year old press conference marking the 20th anniversary of his greatest discovery - that the speed of light can be varied and time be made constant. This allows for space travel without time dilation. On the brink of war, he looks back at the prophetic conference, where he announces his new discovery, and the president quickly uses the announcement to validate his plans to colonize space and establish a powerful human state in the stars. In the conference, two debate, while asked questions by reporters. They just don't agree on anything!
