Stars Are Calling (YM2612)

By Shiru on Apr 20, 2010 2:29 pm

Song I've made for little-scale's compo. It made with TFM Music Maker, however it uses YM2612 stereo panning a little, and rendered from VGM using in_vgm, so I define it as YM2612 song instead of 2xYM2203. Source module is on my website, as usual.

Love how fluid this sounds.

Is the music supposed to cut off at 1:40?

I like the way the drums and the bassline work together rhythmically. Nice sound here!

I love how understated this is, those drums are just barely there but effectively keep the beat racing forward. Real cool!

Hum, this is pretty cool! Definitely has that early 90's sound to it, with a very traditional pulse baseline reminiscent of the Lotus racing titles. A little spartan, but that gives is an air of simplicity which would have been characteristic of earlier video games anyway.
