well def clean the lens but from what i understand the connection between your genny and megadrive can cause a lot of problems too sometimes. also make sure you can hear the disc spin. if not you'll need to do some ts but its usually not too bad. google that shit son.
edit: your sega cd, not megadrive, yeah oops

I don't know exactly what I did other than that. But it was making this grinding sound so I just pushed around the gears in the tray, and it fixed it? it was weird. Pretty rad though, $5 for a broken sega cd i got working haha.
