Have yet to see a single tutorial on this. What gives?
I've seen plenty of DMGs on here that have LED case/button lighting.

Would somebody be kind enough to fill me in on what sort of LEDs, location of solder points, type of resistors to use, ect...

Same source as a backlight, a regulated +5v. As far as LEDs, I use SMT ones. But some people like the standard type. The different led types and such, call for different amounts of resistance. It depends on what the led can handle. Sorry if this sounds vague, because the whole subject is very subjective.

Understandable. To make my intentions a little clearer if I were to buy a few of these LEDs: http://www.nonelectronics.com/catalog/i … 61fc775020

What resistors would I need? As for wiring, can the LEDs be wired in a series from a single +5v or must they each be wired individually needing their own resistors?

I use these  (not trying to put a plug in, just using for example) and have a generic resistor value figured out that I like.

I also use the leds to put in my custom cartridges.

If you buy some leds make sure you have the specs on them (the dmg has a special circuit which can handle basically any led and not burn the led out) but for case lighting you will need the specs because you cant run that many leds off of the power led source. Then from there you just use an equation to figure out the amount of resistance you will need

Your saying, if I were to buy a few SMT LEDs from your site; There would be no need for any resistor calculation or purchasing?
So I'd just wire them straight to the +5v?

I believe so, the left leg of Q1 is a good source.
