This coming Saturday The Glowing Stars will be featured for the second time at Convergence Festival in San Francisco's Japantown, right under the big Peace Plaza pagoda. As an added bonus, we're really excited to be adding a horn section for the second time ever, it's going to be a ton of fun!

It's a pretty big thing and last time we got a bunch of press in print around town for it, so we're really excited to be returning. Come help represent chiptune at this big ol' fun, FREE outdoor event! heart

We play a little after 12 noon - and again it's TOTALLY FREE and there's a bunch of other cool non-chiptune stuff going on all day!

Last time it looked like this:

so I guess imagine that with a trumpet, a tenor sax, a trombone, and people playing them.

The festival's website is here:

Our blog post about it (and the monobomb tour) is here:

There isn't a facebook event for it as far as I know and I don't know why not! But they made this kinda cool poster:

We got written up in one of SF Weekly's music blogs. They say some fascinating almost correct things about chiptune; they clearly did some research. They didn't contact us at all. Check it out:

Not quite as fun as being in print last year for the festival, but it's nice nonetheless. smile

Super stoked for seeing footage of you guys with horns, something that needs to (and will be) happening more in chiptune! I hope all goes well!

Thanks! It went great. The event was well documented, so I'm sure footage will come of it shortly.
