Not entirely sure, it can always change. I was thinking glitchNES maybe, OR SQJ until I get a GBA Transverter sorted.
In retrospect, maybe I should of gone for a gp2x.I started with pikilpita and glitchNES with customized palettes, now i'm using 2 laptops. One with all the emulators (SQJ, pikilpita and glitchNES), second laptop takes video out from there and edits it live or using captured footage imports it into grandVJ and gets mixed from there. You'll find a set up that works for you, if you wanted to use grandVJ i know they came out with a 250$ mixer that works with its own software and the grandVJ platform, I'm picking one up this month ill post how it is.
Yeah, I guess I just have to try things out until I find something that works for me. Though I'll allways have a bit of hardware fetishism going on... I'm just not sure about spending £800 or so on a video mixer.
I have got modul8, which I'll have to learn soon.

other semi dodgy option is one i sometimes use, i have a usb video capture stick, plug my input into it, and run it through VJ suite, saves shellin gout on mixer, do it all digital...

i think you all need two video mixers, a korg kaoss pad entrancer, a korg kaptivator, two laptops, 2 gp2x's, 2 bent NES decks & a psp in your setup minimum
One day...

I was kind of thinking of that, just got an easycap the other day.

@Infotoxin:
My first mixer was a SIMA SFX-9. They show up on ebay for under $200 and do Chroma,mixing, and color.
Basic... Made of plastic, but works for cheap.
@Paris
I've got a dingoo toolchain up and running, but there's no real useful graphics library or documentation. So it's low-level hardware access only for now. Kind of a PITA.
@JYK ... get that shit on the 8bit visuals wiki Peter started. I feel all alone on there!
