i like the double bass-pedal stuff on AROTTENBIT's song but so far my favourite has to be FTF's Devil Wears Prada, i think it converts really well. get this stuff on D-Pad hero!

I say change the name to Fake Chip Mallcore Comp,  the music will be the same level of awesomeness,(remember when people dismissed "the new thing"/free jazz for not being the classic jazz formula) I like both old and new school metal, and i agree with Heosphoros, some of the newer bands should practice their dance routines less and start growing some crazy mofo mustaches.

8-bit as a music subgenre does not strictly pertain to music solely recorded through a single piece of 8-bit hardware.

"Metal" is a very broad term and just because it's not the same subgenre you prefer it still falls under the same catagory.
