Can anyone answer this question for me?

The white plastic sheets on these backlights, are they statically placed on the backlight to help it cling to it?

I was installing a backlight and decided to invert it by removing the polarization film and rotating so that it would be inverted

I know I should have just bought one inverted when I purchased it but thats my mistake. next time I know plan ahead.

now after removing the polar film the white plastic sheeting doesn't cling to the actual backlight as well and now has a splotchy appearance because of air in between the white sheet and the light.

Is there a specific procedure these are put together that makes them cling to each other?

There's a strip of adhesive on the top and bottom under each sheet.

yeah I discovered that but after peeling off the polar film, the appearance is splotchy because that plastic sheeting isnt clinging to the backlight itself.

when I gently rub it with my fingers it appears normal again.

Is there something that I can do to solve this?

There's nothing else bonding the sheet to panel, sounds like an air pocket or something.

yeah thats what I was trying to say.

is there something I can do to eliminate that?

do the sheets need to stick to it completely?
