* This is via the UART RX PIN, found on digital pin 7 of the Teensy board

a quick question I do not know or own MAX msp but does it support graphic skinning in some way? I could make you a simple background for your standalone editor when I have some spare time
Do you need MAX to use the standalone editor? if not could you or someone owning MAX compile a WIN version ?
