I'd even say LP first album is way better than any metal licker poo-ey rock - my dad listens to heavier shit than those old guys

I liked both, though to me Psuedo Echo were novelty (the Funkytown cover) and The Church sounded like The Cure with an alternate singer...

I made the list quickly, but I did like Midnight Oil quite a lot

One of my "later in life" finds, has been a huge inspiration on me musically. The contrast between chaos and harmony is amazing with this band.
