Question... i'm thinking of removing the board mounted jack from the NESmod. and allowing the user to mount the pcb via 4 screws anywhere in the NES/C64/SMS.

Then the user can run the 3-4 (3 outputs +ground) wires to what ever jack they so desire.

A little background..

NESmod/C64mod/SMSmod Rev 2
3 channels of active buffered output. (for the NES this would be outputs for PU1/PU2, Wav/Tri/Nos, and VRC6) including
User defined channel gain via pcb mounted trim pot

Possible mods:
Panel mounted volume pots,
Panel mounted gain (different from volume)

Now, my question ...

Does this sound ok to you ? If so.. What kind of jack would you prefer come with the kit?

(3) 1/8" (mono)
(3) 1/4" (mono)
(3) RCA

?
Let me know your thoughts

what do you mean "working vrc6 mod" ?

it's planned to have 3 channels supporting VRC6. It's really up to the user if they want to utilized the VRC6 output or not.

I think 1/4" makes the most sense... it just seems more durable and logical to me.

1/4th Detached from the board.  Why would one need 3 outputs on a SMS though?

Doesn't it have 3 channels?

I vote for 1/4th inch mono but I'm never going to buy one, I'm just imagining what I would want on it if I was going to buy it.

edit: uh I put 1/8 by mistake...

1/4 is so much more practical than 1/8. doesnt come unplugged on its own either.

I really cant see where you're gonna screwmount one of these inside a C64, what are the dimensions of the assembled pcb?
1/4" all the way.

It might end up being mounted to my version of the sid2sid board.
