LED circuit body mods?
Aaaactually we're almost there.. And by that I just mean geeks in general.
Subdermal, medicinal grade OLED displays. Image quality is HD. OLED is now a tested and true technology. Just not bendable enough yet. However it is close. Wireless LiPo rechargable batteries. Wireless link with computers. Edit and design your tattoo, any time, any where. Smartphone apps.
Theres one major fault: Having a 3x10 inch implant makes your skin sloppy and bloodlines run thin.
Also MRI scans, and accidents are a big no go.
There's more. People get RFID tags injected into theyr hand to use with locks and access control.
These tags are the same that are used on animals, and in some high-end clothing like Canada Goose winter parkas.
Also some people get injected very small silicon coated, or gold plated, neodynium magnets into theyr fingers. After some months of healing the body starts to enterpret the signals from the magnet. When you get close to electricity the magnet will spin inside your finger. The more energi, the faster it's spins.
This however is a very bad and sometimes painfull thing to do. Say you go get en MRI scan, the magnet will get ripped out. If you fail to remove the magnet before the shielding corrodes, the body itself will start utilizing the iron in the magnet. Then you are left with a random webbing of material that will shatter at some point. Very painfull. And the leftovers are carciogenic.
I also heard of a guy who wanted to get a bluetooth headset implanted. He designed it and everything. There's just no doctor that would do it.
