I know you said you didn't want to wade through an archive randomly, but I ran into http://amp.dascene.net/home.php and found it kind of interesting. I don't know how I came across it, but Laxity is pretty cool, especially his non-chiptune .xm modules with the vocalizing and guitar samples.

Laxity is some sick shit. If you want more vocal stuff in trackers you oughta check out Hunz. He's done some cool stuff in Renoise as well.
