I was hoping some of you could point me towards some netlabels or releases that are 100% made with sample trackers... format doesn't really matter, MOD, XM, whatever.

I checked out the thread with the list of netlabels, but most of the releases seem to be Gameboy based, although I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few with FM synthesis and Atari ST stuff.

I have a bunch of modules that I found through a Youtube compilation video, and there are a lot of excellent things in the collection, but I'm looking for a cohesive work or just a netlabel catering to modules and sample tracking.

I know of the Modarchive and Aminet, but I don't want to spend hours randomly downloading anything tagged as chiptune off of those sites.

Any help/recommendations appreciated, thanks!

Hello,
aanaaanaaanaaanaa isn't precisely a netlabel but it does host a growing amount of tracked music, often in .IT format, always inspired by the weird and ancient.

You could stop by here: http://aanaaanaaanaaana.net/pagelist.php?dir=music and check out the releases called "Cryptozoological Blogspot Friend" and "I'm from Damonidax", and dig deeper if those resonate with your weirdness.

You might like older releases from Monotonik and inpuj.

http://www.jormas.com/music.php/ has a lot of live sets and stuff, but quite a few of the downloads aren't working for me.

Chiptune.com has a pretty big XM and MOD package. Lot of sweet stuff and all module.

I write all my music with 8-bit samples in ModPlug Tracker. http://feryl.bandcamp.com/

I've also put together a compilation with some of my favorite chip mods by other (better) artists. http://feryl.bandcamp.com/album/8-bit-m … collection

Wow, that's quite a lot! I'm gonna start digging, thank you guys so much!

Joule, I already have "Caroline in Neon Hot Pants", "George Carlin", and "Flirt Talk", among some others from SKE. I have to say those tracks are AMAZING! Huge inspiration to me.

while not exactly a netlabel so much as it is a collective, Sunvox has a dedicated group for music made using the program on soundcloud.  while most of it leans towards other genres like ambient and nu wave, there are dedicated chiptune artists who use the program for chiptuning, as the program is essentially a combo DAW/tracker.

In particular, I suggest checking out work by a guy named SolarLune: a semi secluded renaissance man who makes pixel art, videogames and chiptune.

Addendum: also, while i've yet to find a dedicated collective for it, there are sparse pockets of people who make chiptune using Org Maker: the program Pixel used to create the sound effects and music in Cave Story, which, in my experience, is actually rather intuitive, and has this really nice windows 95/98/00 feel.

Does Wave Channel Kit-Only LSDJ count as sample based?
