I've found that my GB Boy Colour comes with no pre-loaded games O.O The menu that is supposed to appear when you switch it on without a cartridge doesn't exist either.
From what it looks like from the outside, it seems to lack the extra PCB containing the chip that has the games, along with some additional hardware.

So there are going to be other designs? If so, are they going to be the same as the PIL colours? Are they all just going to be black, or be other colours?

there will be other colors. they are determined from a combo of what the artist needs, and also what is in the pipeline that we will be making.
first one is black. second will be light grey its looking like, but thats still in the air atm

So that's pretty much a no. Supposedly the built-in game version went out of production 2 years ago.
