The extension is for tomfoolery, but otherwise, all necessary. It's the only setup I've found that all my tracks work right on.A stereo 1/8 to split mono 1/4 would do exactly the same thing.
the couple of times I went in for cables I didn't find one. I'll look again the next time. thank you for the suggestion
