I am aware that the Nanoloop Two does not require a battery for saves however I have an original Nanoloop 2.6 cartridge and was wondering if it took a battery.
I attempted to open up the NL 2.6 GBA cart however the front panel would not slide down with ease. I assume that it's a chip on the board that is interfering with the sliding of the front panel and don't wish to break any of the little snaps on it.
Any help or information would be appreciated.

I'm pretty certain that nanoloop carts haven't had battery backed ram since 1.5/2.5 (I'm totally certain about 1.5 not having a battery).
EDIT: what I mean to say is that starting with versions 1.5/2.5 there were no more batteries

Earlier than that, actually. No batteries in 1.3, 2.2 or 2.3 either
