They are desired by folks like me for loading up trackers like the M4G Tracker and the Furious Advanced Tracker, both of which are .gba roms.

I'm really aching to try out M4G. The UI is gorgeous.

I think you'll really like what the advance can bring to the table for music. It has digital to analog converters for proper sampling and some soft synth capabilities. For example, I currently use my GBA with the Spritesmods gbamidi cable. It uses the gba's multiboot feature to boot the rom straight off the AVR chip through the link port, no cart needed. It has an 8 note polyphonic softsynth included utilizing the DACs

Thanks mate, I never payed attention to the gba trackers on that thread, looks interesting. Do you have to flash in some way or another the samples?

I actually have no idea about loading samples. Haven't really been able to get it running in an emulator yet. I'm hoping I can just store them on the same SD card and load it from the softwares load features. perhaps it uses a similar load feature to the one they are implementing for their song saves. But the video on the site implies that sample function is a feature of the tracker so I'd imagine they have thought of a process to make it feasible for users to load their own samples. I should really find the manual or help text to find out for sure.

Oh yeah and on M4G, there are FM Operators! I hope they work in the current alpha. heres his cm.o thread if interested. http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/177/m … and-ilkke/

I'm not actually getting it, but I've heard some great things about this little baby. Couldn't you also use a supercard device to load up .gba's? (I have one lying around, so I Might play around with it).
