there's a link here - http://revengineers.tumblr.com/post/508 … revolution

the guy wrote a pretty decent article considering he'd never heard of chiptune or 8bit music before.

oh if anyone's interested in my band, REVENGINEERS, here's a video and a song.

Oh look, a 4 chan meme. Awesome.

Anyway, fairly standard chip interview. Could have been alot worse though, I suppose. Although I didn't like the emphasis that was put on modding the gameboy hmm made it seem like modding is essential...

I thought that was a bit much, the original output sounds fine, the mod just removes a slight hiss (maybe your gameboy had an unusually shitty output?).  The music is good, but it sounds A LOT like Anamanaguchi to me, I would encourage you to strive for a more unique sound.

"Sporting tattoos and Marvel T-shirts"......

There's something oddly familiar about this....

And I'm sure it'll happen again.

At least they figured out how to use the headphone jack instead of a mic. yikes

edit: And aren't actually all that bad.

Seriously guys.

Isn't that why this site was created? To have a place that's isn't like h8bc?

I think equating these guys with IFD is pretty uncalled for, I actually enjoyed the song, I would just like to see them develop a more original style.

i liked it.  But there's nothing wrong with the original headphone output... I use it and the line output mod also. But the hiss gives a more old-hardware sound. And the samples sound cheesier wink.

Hope to hear more things interesting from your band. the arrangements sound interesting, and the vocals idea will be nice if well added.

keep it up guys!

You can't expect them to write a perfect review of our scene that pleases everyone here
You can't consider a band gimmicky just by one picture of them sporting gameboys

Enjoyed the music, looking forward to more

Are they a gimmick because they use a GB, or because they use guitars? tongue

Seemed like an alright write-up to me... smile

Edit: the video was pretty cool too. Not much into rock, but it was a nice song.
