they've been very supportive of a lot of chip hardware

i am sure you already have that planned, but it would be very handy if the gameboy levels could be lifted all the way up to modular levels, so that no amp module will be needed to actually use it effectively...

OP and the thread title ask for something completely different than what you linked. CV is great, so is the form factor. But in no way is it a modular Gameboy synth. Not even close. Other folks are right on the money with their designs.
