I am looking to relocate my DC converter board from left side to right side. Is there a preferred gauge of wire that works best? I'm afraid my electrical knowledge is limited and I'm a noob when it comes to modding... I don't want to run the risk of overheating the board. I had planned to use 30 awg wire, is this too thin? I've never done this before and I figured I should ask the professionals

Too thin. Find an old IDE cable and cut it to length.
I once used 32 AWG and it didn't overheat and still doesn't. Typically though I'd use 28.
Thanks guys, I ended up going with some 26 Awg wire. I threw the old Final Fantasy Adventure cart in and gamed for 20 minutes and everything seems to be nice and cool on the inside.
