I have 2xTecra 8000 it gots OPL3-SA3 aka YMF715x and its not sounds so RAW as Creative Sound Blaster 16´s YMF262... And some instruments sounds simply different (something similar to various SID soundchips).
And I have second one Toshiba Satellite 220cs and it gots real OPL3 like SB16 is supercute but doesnt have so much CPU power and RAM for
full AT2 tracking /yes it runs, it plays simple songs, but not for serious tracking/. I am using it more for MS/DOS games, Fasttracker2, BEEPER you know...But for simple tracking it is good...You can add it to list.

I got a Compaq Presario 1245 with ESS Audiodrive for $30. Rockin'!

I wish they made laptops like that nowadays... it's SOLID. And has the best laptop speakers I've used.

This one sounds phat as hell: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLZ8NErLSrY -- this video also got me into Adlib Tracker ][

But my Tecra 8000 doesn't sound bad wink

It doestn sounds bad at all. But sound is not so RAW and CLEAR as on SB16. But you need to have very "musical" ears... For hearing difference.

Gateway Solo 2500. Any NeoMagix laptop uses OPL3.

Updated the list!

The Toshiba Satellite 430CDS should be on that list, too. It's rocking an ESS688 & YMF262. The 430CDT should have the same chipset for sound.

EDIT: If you ever want to do a sound comparison feel free to send me a module and I can make a clean recording at 48kHz, 24-bit.

I have a Satellite Pro 430CDT lying around, so this is cool news! I've never looked into Adlib tracking.

Hi,
I have a Dell Latitude CPi A366ST.
Sound Controller: NeoMagic nm 2200 av. "Soundblaster compatible".
Do you know if Adlib Tracker work in it?

The NeoMagic sound controllers seem to support Soundblaser through emulation but I'd be interested to hear what it sounds like. If you happen to record an audio sample I'd love to hear it.
