After my adventures of creating Pixel Me Square, my second album and the first one including a game, or rather called *interactive episode* of my ongoing serie Dark&Darko I started working on the first draft of a follow-up.
The first album contains 12 songs and the interactive part which is basicly a small RPG kind of game without any deep-going level system. It's more about the story and the small adventure that you go through being my 8bit alter ego making things ready for the release party that same evening.
For this project I invited ALL my youtube fans to be part in the game as an NPC at the party itself. The response was about 50 people and I even was able to get MatPat from Gametheory, Dan Bull, Dave and Joe from Gamesack and the guys from IGN Podcast Beyond into the project!
The game itself has 1 hour gameplay and after that, a free-roaming part in my studio/audio-lounge that takes up to 20 minutes to fully explore and talk to everyone.
Learned a lot but after working on this for 3 full months and a well deserved break of 2 months I feel like doing something like this but WAY better!
So, setting up the first draft, creating a basic story line and main idea where it all should lead to and the first drafts looking better already then the complete outcome of my first project!
I already got a few people who gave me permission to use the name and logo's and stuff is going to be even more crazy then before!
Here is the first map which is a very important location for the game. An 8bit arcade hall!
