I'm trying to sync my gameboy to Logic Express so when I hit play on the GB Logic will start recording. I can tell that Logic is recognizing something because the notes coming from the GB are showing up in the transport bar, so why won't it start recording? I've been playing with this for hours and now and I'm afraid my MIDI settings are all out of whack. This shouldn't be this hard should it?

What are the benefits are of not separately pressing record first? It seems like at best you would lose the first tiny bit of a song
