We're excited to take down the scaffolding and announce a new 8bitpeoples website. We've made a few changes and improvements, so please feel free to have a look around and make yourself at home.

One of the updates that we're particularly excited about is the introduction of a new digital storefront, where, for the first time, 8bitpeoples releases are available to purchase in high-quality audio — your choice of 320 kbps .mp3, or lossless FLAC/ALAC formats. Free versions will continue to be available as they've always been — just accompanied now by the option to support artists (and the label too!) in a more direct way.

This is a work-in-progress, with more releases to be made available in high quality over the coming months. At launch time, about a third of the catalogue is available in high-quality — including killer releases by knife city, Mr. Spastic, Sulumi, Rainbowdragoneyes, glomag, and Radlib — many with updated/upgraded artwork, extra content, and bonus tracks — some of which are available here for the very first time.

And of course we continue to offer tangible items too — from t-shirts and hoodies to CDs, DVDs, and albums that play music straight off of a microchip.

So welcome to the new site, enjoy your stay, tell a friend, and stay tuned as we continue to expand our catalogue, with classic releases and brand new music alike.

Thanks for your support over our 15 years.

its really cool, if your expanding your label have you considered using a service like Spinnup, distrokid, tunecore etc to get all your releases onto spotify, itunes, and all over modern digital marketplaces?

Oh man.  I have to have some of that action.  Definitely one of my favorite 8bp releases. heart
