Apologies if there is already a thread for this, but I'm trying to find as many albums made with nanoloop (either 1 or 2) as I can; I'm working on one and want some inspiration big_smile

I already have Cheapshot's Obsidian and Little-Scale's RIP 2.3 albums, both excellent, but need more!

Feel free to post your own albums/EPs!

My first EP was nanoloop-only... well kinda. I have some post-proc to add in the 2 samples I use in the entire EP if that's all cool

I use mostly NL2 nowadays in conjuction with a sampler and sequencer, so I don't think those count lol

Awesome, I'll give it a listen!

Sampler + sequencer addition is good too; I'm interested in hearing that since I've been using nanoloop in sync with a monomachine.. but the new stuff I'm working on is NL2-only. Got a second cart on the way, as well as a NL1 cart—hopefully I can sync all three and make some lush minimal tech big_smile

Oh, well my bandcamp and soundcloud are absolutely littered with examples, but I just recently stabilized sync between NL2 and my Beatstep Pro + MPX16 and it's kinda meh, a bit repetitive, but I was absolutely blown away at the time lol.

I also use a KP3 I got way after I put out that EP on all of my live jam sessions like this one

sweet! I'll have a listen through your bandcamp and soundcloud. Sounds like you've got a similar setup to my full setup (beatstep controlling microbrute, mini-kp2, electribe ES-1, monomachine, gameboys).

I like your bandcamp release schedule too; I should adopt something like that instead of slaving over perfect albums. Especially with my hardware setup, it seems more logical to just release monthly collections..

It works very well for me since I make music every single day. I've made it my job and I'm hoping to get better (mentally) enough to play at events and venues sooner rather than later, but it is very demanding to keep on a daily schedule.

Yeah, tbh it'd probably be a 'best of the year' collection in my case, since I tend to only have one really good electronic jam every couple of weeks, but that's still good!

too lazy to edit the old post, so here are a bunch of mine that are all nanoloop:

and i put together this nanoloop-only comp back in 2008

Awesome, looks like I've got some downloading to do.

Also worth mentioning are Henry Homesweet's excellent improv recordings:

Not 100% nanoloop, but prominent enough (and awesome enough!) to be in this thread.

My first EP was made with Nanoloop 1, some guitar effects and a Casio VL-1. I'm not sure if the music holds up that well, I was quite the beginner when this was released. Get it here: http://www.lowtoy.com/portfolio/vegas-diamond-sea/

Also possibly interesting: https://soundcloud.com/urgent-fm-offici … as-diamond
Hour long live set with 1 nanoloop and some guitar effects. Same comment applies though + ignore the interview in the beginning and end.
