So basically, this is "presenting chiptune to people as if it was the stuff they already hear, and see what happens"?

SID chips will become more valuable than anything and chiptune puritans will start crushing them up and snorting them in order to achieve chiptune-bliss but in that rampaging drug-war the chiptune we know and love will falter in a wasteland and it will be lost, forever etched into the burnt out electronics that humans used to use to make chiptune.

The Chipmusic of the future will be the cutting-edge music of today.

it will have higher resolution for automation (automation envelopes), true BPM, more software availiable on android/ios and more assignable LFOs...Maybe even some new commercially financed hardware...(something similar in form to yamaha qy100, but including a capacitive touchscreen)...gamepad control method with touchscreen usage for faders and knobs will be recognised as the most comfortable input method.
