Hey guys, been checking out tunes some great stuff here, made me about 10 years old again listening to some of the tracks.
I tried making some myself using famitracker only to find i have 0 talent for music.
Which brings me to making this post, i want to try streaming on twitch and would love to background with this style of music, so i was wondering if anyone has music they made(must be your original work, not remakes) that i could use free of charge.

The music as i said would be a low background volume compared to gaming noises and voice chat over the top.
I can also give credit in stream via a scrolling text bar as well as below on the twitch page itself(having said that keep in mind i'll probably get no views at all smile

If anyones interested pls let me know i'll pm my email, and if you could send the songs(preferably in wav format) attached with some text allowing me rights to play the music in streams and in vods which are the recordings of streams for later viewing.

I also get that people would be protective of their work and was unsure if it was the right thing to do asking, if i was wrong pls let me know, have no experience in music or the etiquette involved with this sort of thing.

What kind of content is your Twitch streaming going to have? I ask because it might help others decide what type of music to send you. I take it you'll be playing video games? cool

I don't suppose you already have some Twitch streams you can show us?

you can background using the tunes at http://chipmusic.fm - they're tunes taken from this forum which were all CC licensed. likewise all my music on https://defensemech.com is CC licensed so you have permission to use it

I don't really have a specific background or style of game i stick to, i was hoping to use this style music as more of an idea on where my gaming history lies.
Having said that, i could see faster tunes would go well with faster paced games, so i should try and get a variety.

Thx a lot defensem3ch i'll definitely have a look.

I really had to come back and say nice work defense...fruit punch really made me lol, i wasn't expecting that.

edit * I grabbed beat juice and fruit punch. If on the impossible chance that i get any donations, first thing i'll do is go back and buy them. I grabbed your logo for a link image and linked your page(hope that's ok).

my twitch:  https://www.twitch.tv/matty101yttam
Everything is kind of a wip and experimental, i'd really like to make a more interactive channel later but it's going to take some time, research and intelligence(all of which i'm short on lol).

The information is down below the stream vid If you want anything changed or added let me know and i'll do it asap.

unless chipmusic.fm actually takes ONLY certain license types from among submissions to the site, that wouldn't be true. and even if it excludes copyright protected tracks and those using an ND license (using an audio piece in a video is considered a derivative work), it still might not hold since while OP themselves might not benefit from the streams, twitch could be construed as a commercial use of the tracks, which none of the CC license options offered upon uploading a track technically allow for (they're all NC licenses).

double-checked & the.fm site grabs all submissions regardless of license.

Yeah i didn't get any from the site, because the CC use is for non-profit, and if on the chance anyone donates then i'm assuming that would breach it.

i think just the fact that twitch itself is a for-profit company would make it a violation of the license technically (beyond the additional issues for stuff released with an ND license)

I see the only CC licenses we can choose from are noncommercial. Why don't we have this as an option here: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nd/4.0/

Is there any way to search music here by Creative Commons License?
