I have one of VBlanks A_SID kits

http://www.straytechnologies.com/produc … -emulator/

And I am going to try to learn a bit of processing and get a few squeaks and blips out of it.

I was going to try and use this utility

http://www.mikrocontroller.net/attachme … ractor.zip

To reverse engineer a .sid and try to work out what is going on. Could someone recommend a .sid file or two which don't use any complex .sid tricks or wacky programming voodoo?

Thanks most kindly.

Martin Galway's Miami Vice. I read an interview where he basically said it was simple for the rush he was in. Straight forward timing and channel use. and uses the 6581, which is what you need for A_SID.

Let us know how it goes. Be aware that SID timing is wrapped up in the assembly, so you'll really just get a register list from that program.
