you can put mgb on a regular gb cart and it'll work on a gba. i don't know if the midi stuff works or not, i've never tried it.

all the gb on gba stuff didnt support the link cable, last time i was checking, so it's unlikely

I was hoping I could get away with an easy & cheaper cart solution
Guess its a GB rom an therefor has to be on a GB cart

Yes, it does work on all those, but using a GAMEBOY cart, not a GBA one.
But there's that EZFlash thing with "GBBridge"... Dunno how cheap those are, probably not any cheap.

Sorry I missed this thread... As far as I know the GBA needs to be in GB mode for it to work, which requires the cart to be the old GB 5v cart.

Using a emulator should work but I dont know if the emulator takes advantage of the serial gamelink port.... Unfamiliar terrain
